Australia’s Macro Mike claims the world’s first protein donut baking mix

If you’re a fan of creative and delicious functional foods whether it be on-the-go snacks or protein-packed powders, you’ll want to check out the increasingly popular Australian brand Macro Mike. It has a full family of supplements and tasty looking products, including powdered peanut butter, a gut health formula, protein bars, a plant protein, and several baking mixes.

In the past few weeks, Macro Mike has added another very unique item to its lineup that we have never seen from any other brand, inside or outside of Australia. The company has introduced Donut Baking Mix, which is a powder you can use to bake moderately high protein donuts with 5g of protein per serve, 3.5g of sugar, less than 2g of fat, and a light 84 calories.

Macro Mike has made what it claims to be the world’s first protein donut mix, with a completely natural, plant-based formula that uses peanut protein as its primary source of protein. The product does have a couple of other protein sources that aren’t as prominent in pea and rice protein, and being all-natural, it also has no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners.

Donut Baking Mix from Australia’s Macro Mike has hit the market in just the one flavor to start with a rather complex creation in Maple Cinnamon White Choc Chip, which features actual chunks of white chocolate. The functional food has been available for purchase since late last month through the brand’s website, where a ten donut bag will cost you $19.95 (13.37 USD).
