The Gym Kitchen has always been a bit different from your typical high-protein food company, taking foods people already eat every day and finding a way to squeeze in a more respectable amount of protein. The UK-based brand has all sorts of delicious and nutritious innovations, including genuinely realistic Protein Chocolate Pudding, protein-packed sandwiches, pizzas, ready-to-eat pancakes, and even milk with more protein than usual.
High Protein Porridge is the newest product from The Gym Kitchen, and it is a convenient one, coming in compact 70g pots for you to simply add boiling water, stir, give it four minutes, then it’s good to go. There are two flavors: a classic Golden Syrup, providing 21.4g of protein, 36g of wholesome carbohydrates, 2.6g of fat, and 258 calories, and Chocolate, with 20.2g of protein, 34g of carbs, 3.3g of fat, and a slightly lighter 253 calories.
The difference in taste between the two options is about as straightforward as the names suggest, where Golden Syrup brings that classic sweet porridge experience, and Chocolate offers a more dessert route, and it also has chocolate chips throughout. The Gym Kitchen has launched both High Protein Porridge Pots at ASDA for a very reasonable £1.30 (1.76 USD) each, and currently they also have a bulk deal where you get three pots for £3.
