Flagship Fit Kit protein snack gets a delicious gooey-center spin-off

fit kit extra protein cake

Fit Kit is a hugely popular functional company from Russia, known for its delicious but protein-packed treats such as Protein Cookie and Protein Cake. This week the creative brand has expanded on one of its flagship products in the Protein Cake, with a spin-off called ‘Extra Protein Cake’. While at first, it sounds like an extra or higher protein take on the product, that’s not quite the case.

Fit Kit’s Extra Protein Cake is actually a version of the Protein Cake with a similarly lean and protein-packed nutrition profile, but with an extra layer of flavor. While the regular Protein Cake features two layers after you bite through its sweet, solid chocolate outer, the Extra Protein Cake has three, with a soft top and doughier bottom, then in between those two is a pocket of gooey chocolate flavor.

The gooey center does indeed look to be quite gooey — unlike some products we’ve seen advertised then tried — and creates a multi-consistency, chocolate-loaded treat. As mentioned, despite that extra flavor, the macros on Fit Kit’s Extra Protein Cake are still quite reasonable. You get about the same protein as the original with 17g, less than a gram of sugar, and 9.1g of fiber.

Fit Kit has released its gourmet Protein Cake spin-off in two heavy chocolate flavors with Chocolate Fondant and the even more intense Triple Chocolate. The Extra Protein Cookie is apparently already on its way to the brand’s many retail partners, and by the looks of things, you will be paying slightly more for that extra layer of flavor.
