The functional food brand FitJoy, who initially only sold protein bars, has introduced another snack-type product this week, which sounds like its most delicious to date. The new product is similar to its Grain-Free Pretzels, launched about a year ago, but with a tasty twist that is explained right in its name with ‘Grain-Free Pretzel Nuggets’.
Fitjoy’s latest creative snack is a bag of sweet and crunchy pretzel nuggets packed full of creamy peanut butter. Much like the brand’s other products, its new Grain-Free Pretzel Nuggets are made with a fairly clean set of ingredients. The snack’s main ingredient is cassava flour alongside chickpea flour, sunflower oil, chickpea protein, honey, and of course, peanut butter.
The macros on the product are far from a typical high-protein snack, with FitJoy’s Grain-Free Pretzel Nuggets intended to be more of a clean, grain and dairy-free, plant-based alternative. If you put away an entire 7oz bag you’re looking at a total of 21g of protein, a hefty 112g of carbohydrates with 14g of that sugar, half of which is added sugar, 49g of fat, and 930 calories.
As delicious as FitJoy’s peanut butter packed Grain-Free Pretzel Nuggets sound, there is one downside: they’re apparently only going to be around for a limited time. The temporary product is in stock now on the brand’s website at $25.99 for a pack of four bags, or there is a slightly more cost-effective bundle of eight at $42.99.
