Leucine-infused Plant Perform Protein from ProSupps now available in two flavors

The plant-based protein powder category has seen a lot of newcomers over the past year or so, turning the sub-category into quite a competitive area of the industry. Companies of all sizes have been jumping in, including the likes of Core Nutritionals, Redcon1, Ghost, Nutrex, soon-to-be Kaged Muscle, and now the widely available brand ProSupps.

ProSupps has introduced its all-new Plant Perform Protein to the market, which is a vegan-friendly protein powder made with three plant protein sources and promoting an award-winning taste. While we have yet to try the supplement, it is good to see the brand place importance on flavor, as that is one of the most significant factors with this type of protein powder.

Plant Perform Protein from ProSupps provides a solid 25g of protein per serving, coming from a blend of pea isolate, rice concentrate, and fava bean protein. ProSupps has also added 3g of free form leucine to the supplement, a key amino acid to help with muscle protein synthesis, and one that plant-based proteins are typically low in, especially compared to whey products.

The rest of the nutrition profile in ProSupps Plant Perform Protein comprises 3g of carbohydrates, a gram of fiber, 3.5g of fat, and 150 calories. The first-ever vegan-friendly protein powder from ProSupps comes in two flavors with Rich Chocolate and Vanilla Creme, both of which are now available from The Vitamin Shoppe at $42.99 for a tub of 24 servings.
