Functional Brand Of The Year is the first award we’re giving away for our annual Brand Awards, and it is one of the six categories we have lined up for 2021. The other five are Energy Drink Brand Of The Year, Newcomer Of The Year, International Brand Of The Year, our overall Brand Of The Year, and to celebrate ten years of awards, Brand Of The Decade.
We’re naming the nominees for Functional Brand Of The Year for 2021 today and will be following up one week from today with the announcement of the winner. The things we look for in this category and the same as the others; brands that frequently reveal and release new products and flavors consistently throughout the year and make sure they’re creative with formats, styles, and approaches that stand out.

- Bombbar
All of those brands reflect precisely what we look for in our Functional Brand Of The Year; in fact, the Russian company Bombbar took home the award last year. It is looking to repeat that win for 2021 and become our first back-to-back winner for the category, although it is up against some intense competition, with three of those four nominees also from Europe.
Once again, we’ll be sharing the winner for Functional Brand Of The Year out of Skinny Food Co, Got7 Nutrition, Quest Nutrition, and Bombbar, one week from today. We’ll also have our nominees for Energy Drink Brand Of The Year out next week and look forward to awarding the most deserving company.
