Legendary Foods samples Popped Protein Chips at Expo West

Legendary Foods did indeed follow through on its promise and sample its latest snacking innovation at Expo West this past week, with the crispy, crunchy, and of course, tasty Popped Protein Chips. The product comes packed with an incredibly impressive and lean nutrition profile led by 20g of protein, only 4g of net carbohydrates, 2g or less of that sugar, around 5g of fat, and a low calorie count of 140.

We were sure to stop by and try Legendary Foods Popped Protein Chips, and like its other delicious protein treats and snacks, this one does deliver. The consistency is as crispy as traditional popped chips, and there is plenty of taste to take notice of, although White Cheddar was the standout favorite for us over the other two that were available to sample.

Our only critique of the Popped Protein Chips from Legendary Foods is there is a bit of packing, at least compared to the thinner chips on the market, as these are popped and have a bit of thickness to them. Another development from the brand is that while the product was announced in three flavors with Nacho Cheese, Ranch, and White Cheddar, there were three others pictured at Expo West.

Legendary Foods mentioned the lineup might change when Popped Protein Chips eventually come to market, but those other options displayed at Expo West were Barbeque, Jalapeno Cheddar, and Kettle Corn. The brand isn’t going to release its chip snack until later in the year, somewhere around August, so there is a while before everyone else will get the chance to try the on-the-go product.
