Fourth flavor of the breakfasty version of the RXBar blends peanut butter and dark chocolate

Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Am Rxbar

While the original “No B.S.” company RXBar built its name off of its self-titled, real food snack, it has come much further since the debut of that product and now carries a whole bunch of similar-minded items. Over the past couple of years, fans have been treated to some intriguing breakfast-style releases in the more balanced AM RXBar, the protein-packed crunchy flake RX Cereal, and, more recently, Protein Granola.

The AM RXBar was an interesting one, as it put a breakfasty twist on the company’s hit snack, the RXBar, still packing a good amount of protein from egg whites and nuts but adding tablespoons of oats for more carbohydrates. The morning product launched in Chocolate, Blueberry, and Honey Cinnamon Peanut Butter flavors, and this week, less than a year after AM RXBar hit the market, it’s landed its first flavor extension.

Taking RXBar’s breakfast-specific AM RXBar is another complex flavor, similar to Honey Cinnamon Peanut Butter in Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, with 10g of protein, 28g of carbohydrates, 11g of that sugar, and 4g fiber, 9g of fat, and 230 calories. In the brand’s typical style, the product lists its key ingredients on its wrapper, such as two egg whites, and it’s now available for purchase at for $27.99 a box of a dozen bars.
