BLK in Brazil reworks its whey concentrate protein powder for better taste

Blk Performance Revamps Perform Whey

Popular Brazilian supplement company BLK Performance has decided to revamp its flagship protein powder, Perform Whey, which is the more straightforward and traditional of the two competitors it has in the category. While the brand’s other entry Beef Protein Isolate is, of course, powered by beef isolate, Perform Whey gets all of its protein from classic whey concentrate, providing 24g of protein, 6g of carbohydrates, and around 150 calories.

The changes BLK Performance has made to Perform Whey start with a shift from the familiar plastic tub to a pouch or bag with slightly fewer servings at 22 instead of 30. It still relies exclusively on whey concentrate for its protein-packed nutrition profile, led by a strong 24g of protein per serving. The main ingredient is the same; however, the brand promises a better flavor experience in the new version, saying it’s a lot tastier than its predecessor.

Last, but not least, BLK Performance has relaunched Perform Whey with a menu of four different flavors, all common tastes in Chocolate, Vanilla Cream, Cookies and Cream, and something with a fruity touch in Strawberry. From what we can tell, the new and improved protein powder is making its way out to stores and stockists shortly, if not already, and it will be easy to pick it out on shelves; as mentioned, it’s in a pouch, not a container.
