Kentai infuses its newest protein with maslinic acid for added strength and recovery

Kentai Bioactive Whey Protein

Kentai, out in Japan, has a new protein powder available, despite being like several other sports nutrition brands in that part of the world and having a healthy selection of entries in the always saturated and highly competitive category. The latest from Kentai is called BioActive Whey Protein, and as the name suggests, it is a bit more than your traditional whey-based protein supplement thanks to the extra ingredients that have been thrown in to elevate muscle recovery and support muscle building.

Kentai’s BioActive Whey Protein comes with 23g of protein in a 30g serving, all from regular whey concentrate, alongside a light 1.5g of carbohydrates, virtually none of that is sugar, just under 3g of fat, and a calorie count of 125. The macros are relatively straightforward, but alongside all of that, the Japanese brand has thrown in a selection of vitamins, including A, C, D, E, and various B vitamins, ornithine, and maslinic acid derived from olive fruit, and that is where its strength and recovery benefits stem.

Fans will pay a little extra for the maslinic acid-enhanced protein powder, BioActive Whey Protein, at least compared to its own standard whey-powered protein product in Power Body, which carries a cost of ¥5,940 for an 830g bag, directly through the brand’s online store. The newly released BioActive Whey Protein is exactly 20% more expensive than that per pouch, and it has 15% less volume in a 700g bag and interestingly, it doesn’t appear to have any flavor like chocolate or vanilla; it has a completely neutral taste.
