Boxes of high-protein waffles now available from Skinny Food Co and they’re only 50p a piece

Skinny Food Co Protein Waffles

The Skinny Food Co has one of the largest lineups we know of when it comes to functional food, like low-calorie sauces and syrups, close to no-calorie foods like the konjac root-based rice and pasta, and the mountain of better-for-you treats it has on offer. The finished, ready-to-eat side of the UK brand is welcoming Skinny High Protein Waffles this week, and they are precisely what they sound like, with a sweet and delicious twist as a side of the waffles is covered in chocolate.

The Skinny Food Co’s Skinny High Protein Waffles come in boxes of six waffles, prepackaged and ready to eat as soon as you rip them open, and they provide a moderate 6.3 to 6.6g of protein, which is low, but the waffles are 30g a piece, so if you were to scale the size to a typical 60g bar, that’s 12.6 to 13.2g of protein. The other macros in the product aren’t too bad, but keep in mind that the 30g size has a lot to do with it, including 11g of carbohydrates, absolutely no sugar, 6.6 to 7.2g of fat, and 122 to 125 calories.

The Skinny Food Co does not tend to price its functional innovations all that premiumly with the newly released Skinny High Protein Waffles being another great example of that, selling at £2.99 (3.78 USD) for the box of six, working out to about 50 pence each. There are choices when it comes to the moderate-protein product with two tastes on the menu in Chocolate and Vanilla, the former being the one covered in decadent sugarless chocolate and the latter appears to have no chocolate.
