Optimum adds creatine and glutamine to its multi-source Platinum Rebuild protein powder

Optimum Nutrition Platinum Rebuild

Optimum Nutrition recently rolled out Platinum Igniter, a similar pre-workout to the previously released Gold Standard Pre-Workout, with a few key differences, but still built to support a balanced experience of energy, focus, pumps, and performance. The legendary sports nutrition company has also dropped Platinum Rebuild, and the purpose of this one is a bit different from that of Platinum Igniter; in fact, it is for the opposite end of your workout.

Platinum Rebuild from Optimum Nutrition is essentially a protein powder, different, of course, from the many it already has on the market, including the iconic Gold Standard 100% Whey. Platinum Rebuild is a more advanced offering featuring a variety of different protein sources, not just the classic whey isolate and whey concentrate. In this one, Optimum has brought together micellar casein with whey concentrate and isolate, as well as hydrolyzed whey isolate.

Optimum Nutrition Platinum Rebuild Label

Together, those four sources of protein give Optimum Nutrition’s Platinum Rebuild 24g of fast, moderate, and slow digesting protein, alongside a lean nutrition profile everywhere else with 1.5g of fat, 3g of carbohydrates, only 2g of that sugar, no added sugar, and all ending on a reasonable calorie count of 130. To make it a bit more premium and deserving of the Platinum Series banner, the brand has also added 3g of glutamine and 3g of strength, performance, and power-supporting creatine monohydrate to every serving.

Similar to Platinum Igniter, the first place you can get Platinum Rebuild is through Optimum Nutrition’s premier retail partner, The Vitamin Shoppe, where it’ll cost you a high-end price of $59.99, and that is for a full-size 1.6lb tub of 20 servings. That puts it above the likes of Gold Standard 100% Whey, available at Vitamin Shoppe for $15 less and almost 50% more servings, plus there are fewer flavors for Platinum Rebuild in Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Buttercream.
