Australian retailer Elite Supplements just became a store and brand, releasing its own line of sports nutrition products, starting with a balanced meal replacement shake, appropriately named The Elite Shake. Like the retailer, the company covers its supplements in an eye-catching, unmissable purple color, and now, Elite Shake isn’t the only entry. Elite now has the Elite Protein Shake RTD, a ready-to-drink offering that follows a similar path to its original meal replacement.
Elite Supplements’ beverage, the Elite Protein Shake RTD, has 30g of protein in a 450ml bottle, about the same as a serving of the Elite Shake, the carbohydrates coming in about half of that at 14g, majority of that sugar at 12g, then 5.8g of fat, and 240 calories. A blend of milk and caseinate is primarily responsible for the muscle-building protein, and alongside all of that nutrition is a variety of vitamins and minerals for general health and wellness, making for a well-rounded meal shake.
It’s interesting to see Elite Supplements not only enter the sports nutrition industry with its own house brand by way of a meal replacement, certainly not a common debut product type, but now it’s added a meal-style beverage, another uncommon offering.
