House brand Star Nutrition adds a softer moderate protein snack to its selection

Star Nutrition Soft Protein Bar

Star Nutrition is a house brand from the major Swedish sports nutrition retailer Gymgrossisten, and like other supplement stores that have their own lines of products, it reaches deep into all sorts of categories. That includes functional foods and protein snacks, something it does have a few options of, including Protein Nachhos, Choco Crisps, and a classic Protein Bar. The retailer and brand have introduced another snack competitor in that bar format, although this one offers a bit of difference by way of consistency.

Gymgrossisten’s Star Nutrition has introduced the Soft Protein Bar, similar in separation as Barebells softer and smoother Soft Protein Bar. Compared to the other edible items available from the house brand, the Star Soft Protein Bar isn’t as hard or dense but still packs plenty of protein at 15g of protein. It is essentially a flavor-first alternative to any of Star Nutrition’s other protein bar efforts, featuring decadent layers of rich chocolate, crunchy peanuts, and salty caramel, being more like a candy bar than a protein snack.

The nutrition profile in Star Nutrition’s Soft Protein Bar, again, is led by 15g of protein a piece, primarily from whole milk powder with collagen and soy protein in support roles, 18 to 21g of carbohydrates, 9 to 11g of fat, around 2g of sugar, none of it added sugar, and 207 to 212 calories. Those numbers are more than fair for the softer experience the supplement store and brand are promising, and it has hit the market in two mouthwatering options in Moussy Peanut Choco and Soft Choco Caramel in singles and boxes.
