Celsius halves the caffeine content for its launch in Australia and New Zealand

Celsius Now Available In Australia

Celsius revealed earlier this year that it was going international; after becoming a one-billion-dollar beverage brand, it shared plans to expand into the likes of France, the United Kingdom, and Australia in partnership with Suntory Beverage & Food. Down under in Australia and New Zealand, as promised right at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Celsius has officially launched its energy drink, rolling it out into major supermarkets and convenience stores with its own formula and flavors.

When news first came in on plans for Celsius to introduce its signature energy drink into Australia and New Zealand, we suspected it would be with some changes as rules and regulations in the region don’t allow for a beverage of that size to have its usual 200mg of caffeine. We can confirm the product has dropped to half with 100mg of caffeine for that part of the world, still alongside other energy and weight loss ingredients in b vitamins, taurine, ginger extract, green tea, and guarana.

The nutrition in the Celsius energy drink is nice and low, as fans have come to expect from the hit beverage here in the US, with close to half a gram of carbohydrates, none of that sugar, and 13 calories. Much like other parts of the world, the brand has switched up the menu for Australia and New Zealand, releasing it in four specific flavors with Kiwi Strawberry, Watermelon Lemonade, Cosmic Vibe, and the somewhat international exclusive, the mango passionfruit recipe Sunset Vibe.
