Brazil’s Atomic Labs makes a third protein powder made from ground peanuts

Atomic Labs Peanut Protein

Atomic Labs in Brazil was already present in the protein powder category with two of your typical competitors in the cost-effective whey concentrated-based Whey 100% Protein and the more premium, whey isolate-powered Whey ISO Hydro. The team has just come out with a second entry in the fast-paced space of protein powder; although it is not your traditional extension relying on pea protein or even collagen, it reveals its point of difference right in its name with Peanut Protein.

True to its name, Atomic Labs Peanut Protein is a protein powder that relies on ground-up roasted peanuts to provide its level of protein, although seeing as this is primarily made up of peanuts, the nutrition profile is not as lean as the likes of Whey 100% Protein or Whey ISO Hydro. In a 20g serving, you get 3g of protein, which right off the bat isn’t a lot of protein compared to the serving size, sitting alongside 8g of carbohydrates, under a gram of that sugar, 8g of fat, and 115 calories.

The latest from Atomic Labs is essentially a peanut powder that has a bit of protein to it, similar to actual peanuts and peanut butter. It is still an alternative source of protein, not an overly lean one, but an alternative nonetheless, and it has the added benefit of being able to be used in functional baking and things of that nature. The price the brand is charging for a small 350g jar is nice and cheap, so it’s a small cost to simply try at R$49.90 (8.75 USD), and there are two flavors to choose from, both infused with cookie cream in a classic Cookies & Cream and Cookies & Belgian Chocolate.
