Prime puts a softer, lighter taste in the three flavors of its Ice Series

What Does Prime Ice Taste Like

When Prime launched its all-new Prime Ice Series, there were a lot of individuals wondering what separates these from the other flavors available for the Prime Hydration Drink, whether they’re completely new tastes or already available flavors with a bit of a twist. The beverage company didn’t provide too much of a description, saying they have a smooth-as-ice finish, which kind of implies some sort of smooth icy experience, but we were curious as to what exactly that would feel like firsthand.

We recently got our hands on all three members of the Prime Ice Series family — Blue Chill, Red Chill, and Orange — and tried them one by one, and have a pretty good idea of what is trying to be communicated here. With all of the main ingredients are the same as the regular flavors of the Prime Hydration Drink, the twist in the Prime Ice varieties is they’re less intense. Blue Chill tastes like Prime’s original Blue Raspberry, and Red Chill is like Tropical Punch, although with a lighter overall flavor.

The Prime Hydration Drink is known for packing a punch of sweetness in its flavors; even the Prime Energy Drink pushes the taste intensity. In the Prime Ice Series, you simply don’t get as much of that, as mentioned with Blue Chill and Red Chill, and while there is nothing to compare Orange to from the Prime menu, it is similarly light and refreshing. The brand actually touches on the softer approach on the bottle of its Prime Ice flavors, saying Prime Ice is essentially Prime Hydration with a “lighter, cooler flavor”.

If any of the previous flavors of the Prime Hydration Drink put you off with their taste intensity, you may want to grab one of the Prime Ice Series flavors. Again, Blue Chill and Red Chill feel very much like lighter versions of Blue Raspberry and Tropical Punch, respectively, and Orange, an equally light and refreshing citrus flavor. The Prime Ice options are currently available in Prime stockists across the country, and you can quickly tell them apart from the others with their vector pattern in the background.
