Gatorade mashes together classic flavors in its creative new Mashups Series

Gatorade Mashups

Legacy sports drinks have been keeping up with the explosive growth of the category in their own creative ways, including innovating on the flavor side of things. The incredibly long-running Gatorade is gearing up to come out with something quite different by the name of Gatorade Mashups, which is something fans might already do themselves. It is a series of hybrid flavors that basically mashes two already available tastes into one.

There are two intriguing offerings in the Gatorade Mashups family, and they are Cool Blue Fruit Punch, indeed combining the original flavors of Cool Blue and Fruit Punch Gatorade, and Lemon Lime Orange, which blends those two respective tastes, Lemon Lime and Orange. As mentioned, this is something Gatorade fans may have already done on their own, mashing two flavors into one, although in Gatorade Mashups, the work is done for you.

The two Gatorade Mashups entries, Cool Blue Fruit Punch and Lemon Lime Orange, are due to roll into coolers shortly, and they do come with the brand’s regular, full-sugar formula. That includes a fair amount of the electrolytes sodium and potassium at a combined 480mg in a 12oz bottle, as well as a heavy 48g of sugar, leading to 190 calories.
