Muscle Nation turns Protein Water into a beverage but drops whey as a source of protein

Muscle Nation Tropical Crush Protein Water

The multi-industry Australian brand Muscle Nation has leveled up its clear and refreshing protein powder, Protein Water, and this comes just days after unveiling its reasonably well-formulated, ready-to-drink pre-workout. Protein Water is something the brand has had on the market for some time in a bulk bag of powder that you can serve out one scoop at a time to provide 23 to 24g of protein. That muscle-building and recovery-supporting protein comes primarily from collagen and whey as the secondary source.

New to the market this month is the Muscle Nation Protein Water Drink, essentially a ready-to-drink version of the original Protein Water supplement, or at least it achieves many of the same benefits. Like the powder, the beverage offers a clear and refreshing protein shake, but here it’s already made, and you can drink it straight away. Interestingly though, the protein isn’t from multiple sources here; it’s 25g a bottle entirely from collagen, no whey at all, with similarly low carbohydrates, no sugar, and clean calories.

As we’ve mentioned many times over the years, Muscle Nation has become a powerhouse in the world of ready-to-drink and functional categories, rolling out far more protein bars, energy drinks, and beverages than sports nutrition supplements. The newly released Protein Water RTD is another example of that focus, and it is already available on shelves at the supermarket giant Woolworths. There aren’t as many flavors for the drink as there are the powder in Berry Blast and Tropical Crush, but it has only just arrived.
