Dricus du Plessis’ sports drink welcomes a version without 20g of sugar per can

Sugar Free Knox

The hydration category hasn’t just blown up here in the US but internationally too, in the likes of the United Kingdom and Europe, and even over in South Africa, where Middleweight UFC Champion Dricus du Plessis launched his sports drink Knox. That beverage is actually a bit more complex than your standard hydration offering with a selection of electrolytes. In Addition to that, Knox has vitamins, a blend of the amino acids BCAAs and taurine, and a good amount of carbohydrates at 20g in a 500ml can.

Dricus du Plessis’ Knox hydration drink has come out with a variant of its signature product that is probably what you might have expected on launch in a Sugar-Free Knox. With all of the carbohydrates in the regular beverage coming from sugar, we can only assume there will be no carbs in the all-new Sugar-Free version, which should also mean it’ll have no calories. The entire menu doesn’t appear to have been converted, just three of the five flavors in Peach, Strawberry Watermelon, and Blue Raspberry.

Knox already has excellent distribution in South Africa, and the Knox Sugar-Free will be taking advantage of that in its three flavors. The brand has confirmed that fans can look forward to seeing the sugarless spin-off of Dricus du Plessis’ sports drink at the big box retailers Checkers, with just under 300 locations across the country, and Shoprite, which has a monumental total of 3,600 throughout South Africa.
