Introducing Knox sparkling hydration drink from Middleweight Champion Dricus du Plessis

Knox Sparkling Hydration Drink

South African professional fighter Dricus du Plessis recently defended his Middleweight Title this past weekend against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305, winning via submission, cementing his position in the sport and elevating his fame and status even higher. A little before then, Dricus actually launched a sports drink called Knox in partnership with home country supermarket Checkers. Knox is a colorfully-branded competitor available in five flavors with a few active ingredients but it does have a fair amount of sugar.

Dricus du Plessis and Checkers’ Knox Hydration Drink comes in a can and is sparkling, not the usual flat beverage in a plastic bottle. In terms of formula, the product has a variety of B vitamins, 4.5g of amino acids, 2g of that taurine and the remaining 2.5g BCAAs, and for the purpose of hydration and performance, there is a moderate 390mg of combined electrolytes. Knox Hydration Drink is, unfortunately, not completely nutritionally-friendly, with 20g of carbohydrates a can, all of that sugar, and 80 calories.

The list of flavors is extensive, with two classics in Blue Raspberry and Lemon Lime, Strawberry Watermelon, a sweet Peach, and Orange Naartjie; naartjie is essentially satsuma mandarin, so expect some sort of citrus stacked experience. With the product coming from Checkers, that is indeed where you need to go to get your hands on it, hyper and supermarkets, and with over 200 locations across South Africa, Dricus du Plessis’ all-new sparkling Knox Hydration Drink makes it very easy to find and give a try.
