The Trek nutrition snack brand in the United Kingdom was the first to ever bring an authentic Biscoff taste to the functional food category. After years of competitors making products and flavor extensions inspired by the legendary biscuit, Trek got together with Biscoff itself to make the Biscoff Power Bar. The brand followed that up a few months ago with another collaboration with the food in an authentic Biscoff flavor of its wholesome and nutritious Protein Flapjack.
The team at Trek has once again partnered with Biscoff to bring its signature flavor to another protein-packed snack, and this time around, it is for something completely new in the Trek Protein Bar. The brand’s latest innovation is made only of all-natural ingredients, with nothing artificial like flavors or sweeteners. The product is awfully similar to the Power Bar, as like that the new Trek Protein Bar packs 15g of protein, exclusively coming from plant-based sources.
The other big push from Trek about its newest functional creation is low sugar, and this is really where it separates itself from anything else in the brand’s lineup. The Power Bar may have 15g of protein, but that comes with over 10g of sugar. The new self-titled Trek Protein Bar has 4g or less, a notable jump, as it’s now closer to zero than the sugar of the Power Bar. It is also launching three flavors: Choc Caramel, Choc Peanut Butter, and the authentic collaboration, Biscoff.
The Trek Protein Bar is making its way to market later this month in its local market of the United Kingdom in single bars as well as boxes of 12. Consumers will be able to find the protein snack at Sainsbury and its one-and-a-half thousand locations, as well as online from the giant Amazon.
