Ghost is getting back into ready-to-drink protein with an authentic Yoo-hoo chocolate flavor

Yoohoo Ghost Protein Shake

Several years ago, Ghost got into the world of ready-to-drink protein with the Ghost Protein Shake, not too long after it debuted its highly successful Ghost Energy Drink. We found the product to be pretty damn tasty, combining sweet sugar-like sweetness with consistency close to a delicious milkshake. The product debuted in Cereal Milk and Chips Ahoy flavors, and despite how good it was, the brand did eventually discontinue the beverage.

Fast forward to 2026, and Ghost is getting back into the game with a whole new Ghost Protein Shake. This time around, the two-time Brand Of The Year is putting the beverage into a compact 11oz can, still with 25g of protein and a lean 110 calories, meaning it’s only ten non-protein calories. The other highlight of the returning Ghost Protein Shake is it’s coming in a completely new flavor collaboration, one we have not seen from the brand before.

Ghost has previewed its canned ready-to-drink protein in an authentic Yoo-hoo Chocolate Drink flavor, made in partnership with the almost century-old chocolate drink company. While the brand has only shown off one flavor of the Ghost Protein Shake, there will likely be others, and Yoo-hoo suggests they may also be authentic collaborations. It is great to see Ghost throwing itself back into the category after taking a swing in 2021. With its reliable flavoring ability and great execution, we have complete confidence that this will be on point.
