Metalab is one of the most carefully crafted and well-presented companies in the South African market, featuring branding leagues above almost everyone else in the region and creative approaches to categories you rarely see around there. All of that is on display yet again in the latest innovation out of Metalab with functional food that is quite a bit different from the other two we’ve seen from the team over the last few years.
South Africa’s Metalab has created the High Protein Blondie, a delicious blondie-style treat featuring four layers of taste and texture in its debut flavor, Pistachio White Chocolate. As you can see in the picture below of the snack itself, there is an authentic pistachio paste base, a crumbly blondie brownie-like main body, white chocolate all around the outside, and for good measure, actual crunchy pistachios sprinkled across the top.
Metalab appears to have hit every little detail it needed to in its High Protein Blondie, in terms of texture, with the crumbly main body and creamy outer, then clearly offering the title tastes of pistachio and white chocolate in parts of the functional food. We are talking about a protein snack here, and it does a reasonable job on that side of things, with a solid 17g of protein primarily from whey, with about 20g of carbohydrates, 14g of fat, and 288 calories.
