Oikos bumps up the protein to 30g in its latest beverage innovation

Oikos Protein Shake

Ready-to-drink protein is absolutely exploding in 2025, where similar to the growth of creatine, collagen, and other trending spaces over the years, brands from all corners of the industry and even outside of that, are coming out with a protein beverage. The dairy and yogurt giant already had a footprint in that realm with its Oikos brand and its many high-protein foods, including the yogurt Oikos Triple Zero, the Oikos Pro Drink, and the compact Oikos Protein Shot.

Dannon and Oikos are expanding their presence in ready-to-drink protein with the Oikos Protein Shake. The difference with this compared to the previously released Pro Drink is that it is much higher in protein, and it isn’t made with Greek yogurt. The all-new Oikos Protein Shake is more of a traditionally lean protein RTD packing 30g of protein per bottle from milk and casein, 9g of carbohydrates, two thirds of that fiber and a gram sugar, 4g of fat, and 180 calories.

Those numbers are based on the Chocolate flavor of the Oikos Protein Shake and do vary slightly across its other options, Vanilla and Salted Caramel, getting as low as 8g of carbohydrates, 3.5g of fat, and 170 calories. The innovation is really a drive deeper into the industry, looking to attract more of the specialty sports nutrition space with a higher protein count. Oikos Protein Shake is rolling out to stores this month in single 12oz bottles, packs of four, and cases of 12.
