Nalu’s sugarless energy drink hits coolers and has only two calories a can

Nalu Zero Energy Drink

Earlier in the year, among the massive number of announcements energy drink giant Monster Energy put out into the world, for the coming year, was news on its European competitor, Nalu. The brand announced that it would be finally launching a version of its signature beverage that is lower in calories than its original offering. Referred to as Nalu Zero, the product has absolutely no sugar versus the 12g of sugar in a 250ml can.

Nalu is officially rolling out its newest innovation, Nalu Zero, this month in the key markets where you can find the Monster-owned brand, including the likes of the Netherlands and Belgium. We were curious what no sugar would result in for the beverage, and now that it’s out there, we can confirm it’s nothing but good news. Nalu Zero has no sugar, and that leads to nothing in the carbohydrate department, and just two calories.

Currently, Nalu only has its better-for-you zero recipe available in its classic Original flavor, although we have to imagine, like others in the category, that if or when it finds success with the sugarless approach, the Monster brand will expand the approach into other flavors.
