Kodiak puts a moderate 7g of protein into its snack-sized Trail Bar

Kodiak Trail Bar

Kodiak was already in the news earlier this week with its high-protein Breakfast Sandwiches, made with pancakes, sausage, egg, and cheese, and offering consumers yet another protein-packed, real-food product to choose from for that crucial start to your day. It turns out, the busy functional brand has something else tucked up its sleeve here in the middle of the year, also launching another bar-format product with the Kodiak Trail Bar.

The newly released Kodiak Trail Bar isn’t hugely stacked with protein; it falls more into the snack range, although it is fitting as it has that traditional snack bar design, and it’s small. Squeezed into a 35g bar is 7g of protein, 12 to 13g of carbohydrates, a little less than half of that sugar, 9 to 11g of fat, and 160 to 170 calories. As per the name, it is a trail mix-style bar, made with all sorts of nutritious foods, including almonds, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, cranberries, and chocolate chips.

The Kodiak Trail Bar is built with a solid chocolate base, and then you get the thick snack bar body, visually filled with all of those key food ingredients. There are two flavors to choose from, one having ingredients that the other doesn’t for taste, with Cranberry Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Almond. They’re available now from the likes of Amazon and the big box retailer Walmart in small boxes of five at a snack-sized price of $5.74.
