Summer brings the release of an alternative WK UP Energy Drink with a lot less caffeine

Wk Up Light Energy Drink

WK UP is a popular energy drink from the health and nutrition company Fitness Food Factory in Russia, and it has a pretty straightforward formula in the product. It has extremely light dosages of alanine, arginine, taurine, and carnitine, the last one on that list having just 130mg, far from the one gram plus we prefer to see. The caffeine is at a much more respectable or enjoyable amount of 135mg, although that has been tweaked for summer.

Specifically for the sunny season, Fitness Food Factory has launched its WK UP Light Energy Drink, which combines most of its usual ingredients, two new refreshing flavors, no sugar, and low calories, but with lower caffeine. Everything that’s in the regular WK UP is in WK UP Light, but instead of 150mg of caffeine, the brand has brought it way down to reinforce the “Light” attachment in the name, with 67mg in the energy drink’s usual 450ml size.

The sugar, carbohydrates, and calories are still completely non-existent, and the flavors you have to choose from, specifically for the summer and the WK UP Light Energy Drink, are Grapefruit Mint and Strawberry Mojito. The brand hasn’t said they’re limited or anything like that, so there is a good chance the Light Series is here to stay, although with the tie-in to summer, there is a good chance it’s exclusively available for the season.
