XXL Nutrition and VandeStreek make a beer with added protein and vitamins

Xxl Nutrition Protein Beer With Benefits

We’ve seen our fair share of functional foods, and that has included an incredible variety of shapes, sizes, and formats, but only a few have been as unique as what Dutch powerhouse XXL Nutrition has just brought to market. Beer With Benefits is a new beverage from the supplement company, and it is indeed a low-alcohol, half a percent IPA beer with the added benefit being that XXL has thrown in a splash of muscle-building protein.

XXL Nutrition’s innovative Beer With Benefits is made by the reputable brewery VandeStreek with American hops for a citrusy, peachy taste. Again, it has a minimal alcohol level of half a percent, and as for the protein, the macro is in there at 5g per 330ml can. The carbohydrates are a little lighter than most at 6.27g, all of that sugar, a gram of fat, 25% of your daily intake of vitamins C, D, and B12, and a calorie count of 65.

The 5g of protein isn’t going to make up for a missed meal, but it certainly adds to your daily count and will undoubtedly be appreciated by gym goers and dieters. It is easily one of the most intriguing functional products we’ve seen this year, maybe a few years, and we can’t help but applaud XXL Nutrition for its efforts. Beer With Benefits is available straight from the brand’s website, where it costs €2.65 a can or €14.99 for a six-pack.
