Cadence sets its sights on the energy drink game in a beverage version of Race 500

Cadence Race 500 Energy Drink

The hydration brand Cadence already offered a canned version of its signature supplement, Core 500, in the Core 500 Drink, which, like the original powder, comes with 500mg of sodium plus potassium and magnesium. The fast-growing company is at the stage now where it has expanded the ready-to-drink Core 500 to several flavors, and now joining that product in the cooler is a beverage version of its other hydration supplement, Race 500.

Compared to Core 500, Cadence’s Race 500 has all of the same benefits in a variety of electrolytes, including that half a gram of sodium, although what makes it more “Race” specific is that it is infused with 100mg of caffeine and 200mg of theanine. A Race 500 Energy Drink is indeed what the brand has coming next, carrying over all of those same key ingredients, plus a slight bump in caffeine to a still relatively moderate 120mg in a 12oz can.

It is quite a major move for Cadence to turn Race 500 into a beverage, as more than a ready-to-drink version, it throws the brand headfirst into the exploding energy drink category. The Race 500 Energy Drink goes alongside the many other competitors in the space, but separated by its quality infusion of electrolytes, lighter level of caffeine, zero sugar, and stevia sweetening. The innovation is making its way to market shortly in two flavors to start with, Peach and Cherry.
