The innovation that put Legendary Foods on the map was its always enjoyable Protein Pastry, a protein-packed, minimal carbohydrate take on a typically sugar-stacked Pop-Tart. The nutrition profile on these is next to unbelievable compared to how good they taste at 20g of protein and as low as 4g of net carbs. There are also a host of mouthwatering flavors, including Chocolate Cake, Birthday Cake, Strawberry, and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.
Coming very soon from Legendary Foods, at least according to Amazon, is an Apple Beignet Protein Pastry. The product has shown up at the online giant, and it sounds quite different as well as incredibly delicious. It is, of course, inspired by the sweet and buttery pastry of the same name, Apple Beignet, a treat featuring a warm apple filling, wrapped in a doughy pastry pocket, and usually finished with a dusting of icing sugar.
We haven’t seen what Legendary Foods’ Apple Beignet Protein Pastry looks like firsthand, but it will be quite the snack if the brand manages to replicate that soft apple filling and pastry outer of an actual Apple Beignet. The innovation almost deserves another name; we’ll have to wait and see, as the upcoming Amazon listing is all we can find for now.
