Mariness in Japan makes a one-of-a-kind Bouhojicha Latte flavor of its meal replacement

Mariness Bouhojicha Latte Protein

Mariness is one of the few widely accessible health and nutrition companies in Japan, which you can find in some pretty convenient places. The women’s brand makes a fair selection of supplements, but like many, when it comes to the international scene, the star of its catalog is its protein powder. It is actually quite a complex competitor, blending whey and soy for a little more than 10g of protein, plus added vitamins, minerals, and probiotics.

The Mariness Protein has an interesting menu, at least compared to your standard chocolate, vanilla, and cookies here in the US. The almost meal replacement-style supplement does have Chocolate and Strawberry, but also Black Sesame, Coffee, Blueberry Yogurt, and starting today, Bouhojicha Latte. That is a traditional Japanese beverage made with hojicha, a roasted green tea from that part of the world, known for its distinct smoky, earthy taste profile.

Bouhojicha Latte Mariness Protein appears to be an exclusive flavor for big box retailer Rakuten, as the brand refers to it as a collaboration with that outlet and its influencers. It is going up for pre-order from Rakuten today, in Japan, with all of the Mariness Protein features and its rather small 345g bag, which is about 15 servings at its 23g serving size.
