Nexus puts a bit of protein into the traditional shake-and-make pancake format

Nexus Protein Pancakes

The always interesting Australian brand Nexus has taken the mainstream shake and make pancake batter format and applied a functional, high-protein twist. The result is the simply named Protein Pancakes, which is a bottle of powder that you fill up with milk or water, whatever you prefer, and shake until thick. After all that work, you’ll have yourself protein pancake batter that you can pour straight into the frying pan and make pancakes.

We don’t have the complete nutrition profile of Nexus’ Protein Pancakes, but we know that per serving, you’re going to get a moderate 10g of protein. We imagine the carbohydrates will be around or a bit above that 10g, low sugar, and the fat likely to be much lower, closer to a single gram than 10g. It’ll be a classic neutral flavor, with plenty of servings per bottle, and a great better-for-you alternative to typically high-sugar pancake mix.

Nexus is officially launching its push into the breakfast window with a much more delicious solution compared to a protein shake or smoothie, in just a couple of days. The functional product is going live in a couple of days on Wednesday, and we don’t imagine it costing all that much, as you get a good amount of servings, although the overall weight is not all that heavy.
