After teasing something completely new and innovative for the last week or so, it has all finally been revealed, and we were right on the money with our speculation. After seeing yesterday’s preview of some sort of canned product, we were pretty confident we’d be getting a clear protein drink. Here today, the international brand, mostly known for its delicious protein bars, has officially introduced Barebells Protein Soda, exclusively for the US.
The innovation from Barebells is actually a bit more than a ready-to-drink protein, giving it hybrid functionality. A full-size 12oz can comes with 10g of quality protein, absolutely no sugar, low calories, and, of course, a delicious taste. Where the twist comes into play is that this is both a protein beverage and an energy drink. Alongside the moderate 10g of protein is an equally sizeable 200mg of caffeine for uplifting anytime energy.
Barebells Protein Soda was what we suspected the protein bar leader had coming, although we didn’t expect there to be that energy drink infusion.
