Waay puts itself in the protein soda conversation with a blend of whey and collagen

Introducing Waay Protein Soda

When brands in the health and nutrition world announced a canned and carbonated beverage over the last several years, it was almost always a caffeinated energy drink. Throughout this year, there has been a significant shift where a large chunk of brands making their first drink have been going the ready-to-drink protein route. Waay is a newcomer that has just hit the scene, and it has done precisely that with its Sparkling Protein Water.

Waay’s newly released Sparkling Protein Water comes with a moderate 10g of protein per can, primarily from whey isolate, then multi-benefit collagen. Unfortunately, it doesn’t say how much collagen is in there, so it’s tough to know how extensive the beauty and health support is. The nutrition profile is on point, where that 10g of protein sits alongside a gram of carbohydrates, none of that sugar, zero fat, and a calorie count of 45.

Sparkling Protein Water from Waay is a clear-style protein beverage, not your typical chocolate or vanilla milkshake, with three fruity tastes to choose from in Orange, Lemon, and Grapefruit. The young brand has quickly found success at launch, as it is available first on shelves at the supermarket giant Whole Foods. Through there, you can get single cans at $2.99, or if you want bulk, Amazon has cases of 12 for a slightly pricer $39.99.
