Dr. Peanut’s newest protein bar offers a lighter, crispier experience with its wafer-style build

Dr Peanut Doctar Wafer Protein Bar

Dr. Peanut in Brazil is no stranger to innovation in the functional food space, whether you’re looking at its delicious, signature, better-for-you spread, the flavorful, creamy Doctor Protein Bar, or the mouthwatering Aflajor in a whole host of flavors. The latest from the brand is Doctor Wafer, which, as you could probably guess, is another bar-format protein snack that separates itself from Dr. Peanut’s other competitors by featuring a wafer-style build.

Underneath the sweet chocolatey coating of the Dr. Peanut’s newly released Doctor Protein Wafer are layers of flavors and crispy and crunchy wafers. It is worth noting that the product itself is not that heavy, tipping the scales at a light 25g, which is low even for a protein wafer. That results in a protein count of just 6g per piece, 9 to 12g of carbohydrates, 2g or less of that sugar, between 4 and 8g of fat, and low triple-digit calories ranging from 118 to 131.

There are three flavors on the debut of the Doctor Wafer from Dr. Peanut in Brazil, and they’re all decadently dessert-themed in Cookies & Cream, the distinct milky caramel Dulce de Leche, and the classic blend of Chocolate Hazelnut. You can shop directly through the brand’s online store, and as with many types of nutrition products in Brazil, the pricing is pretty good with single bars or boxes of 12, both working out to R$11.00 (2.08 USD) each.
