Max Effort takes a more protein-focused approach in its latest functional food

Max Effort Protein Bar

Max Effort Muscle came out with its second functional food over one year ago in the Muscle Bar, which was more than your standard high-protein, low-sugar snack. The creative company decided to give it a hybrid approach, packing it with protein as well as a full daily dose of muscle-building creatine. Max Effort has now come out with a more protein-focused food product that also has a different sort of build from your standard doughy protein bar.

The Max Effort Protein Bar is the third functional offering ever from Max Effort Muscle, featuring a chocolate brownie structure. The product has a more moderate 16g of protein per piece from pea isolate and collagen, alongside an almost equal 15g of carbohydrates, 4g of that sugar, no added sugar, 4.5g of fat, and 150 calories. Peanut butter is another key ingredient in the Max Effort Protein Bar, suggesting it will have a bit of that Outright or Anabar texture to it, at least to some extent, as the protein-to-calorie ratio is far lower than that of those.

The 16g of protein to 150 calories is a respectable nutrition balance, as if you scale that up, maybe eat one and a quarter Max Effort Protein Bars, you’d get 20g of protein and less than 200 calories. It doesn’t entirely rely on complete protein sources, but it keeps the macros lean and looks to have an enjoyable taste and texture. The product is available straight from the brand’s online store in a box of 12 at $33 in a lone Chocolate Brownie flavor.
