Applied pushes up the protein to 7.6g in its thinly sliced bagels at Morrisons

Applied Nutrition Protein Bagel Thins

As promised, we’ve been sharing and further highlighting more of the products in the protein-packed foods collection from Applied Nutrition, which have just taken over Morrisons supermarkets across the United Kingdom. The powerhouse brand couldn’t have had a better start to the year, launching more than 50 different food items at the grocery store chain, all of them better-for-you, loaded with protein, and offering familiar eating experiences.

The functional innovation from Applied Nutrition we have in the spotlight this time around is its High Protein Sliced Bagel Thins. The product describes its format right in its name, with thinly sliced bagels offering a wholesome, crumbly consistency but with a stronger protein-to-carbohydrate ratio. In a single 45g piece, you get 7.6g of protein, a reasonable 19g of carbohydrates with 2.8g of that sugar, under 2g of fat, and a calorie count of 130.

Applied Nutrition’s High Protein Sliced Bagel Thins are one of the standout formats in its protein-packed food collection, which, as we’ve mentioned before, is the most impressive part about what it’s done. It’s one thing to pump out some prepared meals and clean foods; it’s another to add functionality to familiar foods. The line is available exclusively at Morrisons, and the pricing is more than reasonable, with the bagels at just £1.75 for a bag of four.
