Magic Spoon was one of the first big names in the protein cereal space, and it has not stopped innovating since that debut, bringing several new flavors to market and even branching out into other formats with the likes of its Protein Bar Treat. To say the brand has done a few additional flavors is a massive understatement, as Magic Spoon has pumped out several all-new experiences, although its latest extensions take things in a whole new direction.
Two new flavors of Magic Spoon’s signature Protein Cereal have hit the market, and they both feature something you don’t get in any of the product’s other options. The releases are S’mores and Classic Marshmallow, which don’t sound all that different; however, inside, sprinkled all throughout the boxes are actual miniature marshmallows. These are the first inclusion-filled flavors of Magic Spoon’s popular Protein Cereal, again, taking things in a new direction.
The nutrition profile of Magic Spoon’s S’mores and Original Marshmallow with marshmallows is slightly different from the non-inclusion flavors, but not by much. The regular S’mores versus S’mores with marshmallows in the same 40g serving has a bit less protein at 12g, 3g of sugar instead of zero, a higher net carbohydrate count of 7g, and 180 calories instead of 150. You’re basically trading a slight increase in calories for a tastier, marshmallowy experience.
The big box retailer Target is where you can go to get your hands on Magic Spoon’s first-ever inclusion Protein Cereals, S’mores and Classic Marshmallow. Most impressively, even with the added marshmallows, they are exactly the same price and value as any other flavor of the product at $8.99 for a 7oz box, which works out to about five servings.
