Wheybolic is one of the longer-running sports nutrition supplements from the popular retailer GNC and one of its own house brands, GNC AMP. It has produced many different versions, flavors, and spin-offs over the decades, and here in 2026, GNC has revamped the product and launched the new Wheybolic Original. It is a new and improved formula from a few angles while still staying true to the core of the nutrition supplement.
A quick rundown of what GNC AMP has done to the 2026 edition of Wheybolic, or officially Wheybolic Original, is more protein per serving, a better taste, a competitive price, and protein content validated by third-party testing. On paper, that translates to 50g of protein in a two-scoop serving with added leucine to provide a total of 6.2g with the leucine naturally occurring, 5g of carbohydrates, only 2g of sugar, 1.5g of fat, and 240 calories.

GNC has put more protein in Wheybolic Original and kept the amount of servings roughly the same, although the price has been scaled up to match that extra protein. The 25-serving tub of the previous version was $69.99, while the new Wheybolic is $89.99, which is still marginally cheaper, working out to about 1% cheaper in protein value. It is also worth noting that GNC AMP has removed the muscle protein synthesis enhancer Velositol as well as its enzyme blend.
There are definitely a lot of changes moving to Wheybolic Original, with the higher price bringing more protein per scoop without too much savings, no Velositol or enzymes, and, as mentioned earlier, better taste according to GNC. The house brand has debuted the latest evolution of Wheybolic in four flavors with Chocolate Fudge, Classic Vanilla, Strawberries & Cream, and Cookies & Cream, in tubs of 13 and 26 complete servings.
