The sandwich specialist Subway in Brazil has teamed up with a familiar face in the sports nutrition industry, with none other than the reigning Classic Mr. Olympia champion, Ramon Rocha Queiroz, better known as Ramon Dino. The two have put out a few commercials and social media posts with Ramon looking as good as ever and promoting a fitting new collection of sandwiches now available at Subway restaurants in Brazil.
Subway has launched what is being referred to the Protein Line or Protein Series, consisting of three nutritious footlong sandwiches that are jam packed with protein. There is Teriyaki Chicken Protein, Honey Musterd Chicken Protein, and Supreme Chicken Protein. They all have double meat basically, pumping their nutrition profiles up to over 40g of protein in a footlong sandwich all while keeping the calories to less than 500.
Brazil has a lot of restaurants that now offer healthier high-protein alternatives, although Subway is one of the bigger names to get in on the trend. While the Protein Line is essentially just sandwiches with its double meat addon, making it a standard entry on the menu and highlighting it with the marketing that it has, brings a lot more attention to the nutritious possibilities at Subway and the need for more protein.
