Chiefs looks to replicate classic panna cotta but with no added sugar and 20g of protein

Chiefs Protein Panna Cotta

Chiefs has rolled out a bunch of delicious new protein snacks in its home country of Switzerland, one we featured yesterday in the genuinely intriguing Protein Milk Snack, which is sort of like an ice cream sandwich but with a solid milky cream and chocolate sponge cakes. Another one of the tasty, better-for-you treats it’s dropped is Protein Panna Cotta, aiming to imitate the classic Italian dessert with a hefty infusion of muscle-building protein.

The newly released Protein Panna Cotta isn’t Chiefs’ first go at ready-to-eat dessert in a pot; there is also its long-running and absolutely must-try Protein Pudding. Panna Cotta is a different sort of thing, featuring a smooth, creamy dessert with a hint of white chocolate and a ripe raspberry topping. The nutrition profile works out to a solid 20g of protein per pot, just 5g of fat, 14g of carbohydrates, about half of that sugar, and 172 calories.

Those numbers are better than most protein bars, edging closer to an actual protein shake, and being that this is a Panna Cotta-like treat, it’s a whole lot more attractive and enjoyable. Chiefs has always done a great job with its pudding in taste, texture, and macros, and it looks like Protein Panna Cotta will continue that legacy. The product is out now in Switzerland, and being the format that it is, it’s obviously not something you can order online.
