When Ghost got together with General Mills for its dive into functional food with Ghost Protein Cereal, it was only a matter of time before we saw that turn into an authentic flavor collaboration. General Mills is responsible for a laundry list of iconic brands, especially in the cereal aisle, and we got a taste of that late last year in the Count Chocula Ghost Whey Protein. This week, Ghost is announcing another three General Mills flavor collaborations, each with a legendary breakfast cereal.
The first of the three new flavors Ghost has announced, right on the week of the Arnold Sports Festival, is Lucky Charms. The product is, of course, inspired by the original General Mills cereal of the same name, and it has real Lucky Charms marshmallows for a genuine protein shake experience. The brand still manages to keep the nutrition in the same sort of area as its regular ongoing options, with 25g of protein per serving, 4g of carbohydrates, 1.5g of fat, and a calorie count of 130.
Again, it was a matter of time before Ghost and General Mills deepened their partnership and brought out some authentic flavor collaborations that dug into the food giant’s extensive catalog. Lucky Charms Ghost Whey Protein is just the beginning, with two more flavors to be announced in the coming days. Lucky Charms and the other two mystery extensions are making their way to shelves within the next week or so in the standard 2lb tub, providing a total of 26 servings.
