Mu gets together with dairy icon Queijos Scala for a bag of protein-packed parmesan chips

Mu Protein Parmesan Snack

Mu in Brazil has welcomed a fresh new functional food to its family this week, and it is very different from the many others it already has on the market. All of the brand’s previously released protein snacks feature a light and crispy wafer-style build in the Wheyfer Protein Bar, Wheyfer Mini, and the bite-sized Wheyfer Bites. Mu’s latest is still crunchy but far from a traditional bar in Protein Parmesan Snack, put together in partnership with Queijos Scala.

The all-new Mu Protein Parmesan Snack is a bag filled with rich, crispy, and circular chips made from parmesan cheese, hence the name. The product is actually entirely made out of cheese, specifically Queijos Scala Parmesan cheese, which has its logo on the front to proudly acknowledge the collaboration. With that ingredient, the nutrition profile is obviously very lean at 13g of protein, less than a gram of carbohydrates, 9g of fat, and 134 calories.

For that amount of protein, the 134 calories is impressively lean, but again, it is entirely made from Parmesan cheese, so it was bound to be packed with protein, moderate in fat, and have practically no carbohydrates. Mu Protein Parmesan Snack is available first directly through the brand’s online store in bundles of eight single-serving bags at R$119.92 (22.81 USD), a bit on the premium side, working out to a little less than $3 a bag.
