German giant ESN surprised the hell out of us last year when it partnered with the fried chicken restaurant Loco to serve the vanilla-flavored version of its Designer Whey Protein Shake at its many locations with a free shaker bottle. It was a genuinely innovative collaboration, as it put the supplement company in front of a large revolving audience that may not have ever crossed paths with health and nutrition products, especially the type ESN has available.
ESN and Loco are back together again for what may seem like an April Fools’ Day prank, but is very much real. The supplement company and the fried chicken restaurant have collaborated to create an authentic Chicken Waffle flavor of Designer Whey Protein, complete with 23g of protein per serving and 114 calories. As difficult as it is to believe, it does promise to provide a savory chicken and waffle taste, with more of the latter than former from what we know.
The very real Chicken Waffle Designer Whey Protein Powder is expected to go live at esn.com sometime today, alongside a sale with 20% off everything and up to 30% off depending on your order total. The special edition April Fools’ Day product is going to be available in a standard 900g tub of 30 servings and cost as low as €30 (34.60 USD) during its sale.
