Like many health and nutrition companies that have a large international presence, Barebells has a variety of products and flavors across the globe, where you can get different protein bars in different flavors from country to country. For the reigning Functional Brand Of The Year, Barebells, that is the case in most of the markets where it is available, and this week, we’re turning our heads to the United Kingdom, where a type of snack has expanded into, and you won’t find in many other places.
The Barebells Spread Protein Bar is different from the original Protein Bar, the smooth Soft Protein Bar, and even the foam candy-like Chewy Bar. It features a rather thin, doughy body with a surprisingly thick filling of gooey flavor or “spread” as the name implies, surrounded in crispy pieces and chocolate. The product debuted in Germany in Hazelnut Spread and Chocolate Spread flavors, then eventually hit Sweden in Pistachio Spread, which is the flavor that’s introduced the bar to the UK.
The Barebells Pistachio Spread Protein Bar comes with a smooth body, crispy pieces and chocolate outside, and a distinct pistachio cream down the middle. It comes with 15g of protein per piece, 14g of carbohydrates with under 2g of that sugar, and in the United Kingdom, the brand has decided to make the first Spread Series product exclusive to the giant grocery chain Tesco
