David introduces another meat product in cooked wild-caught Atlantic cod

David Protein Wild Caught Atlantic Cod

One of the most memorable things David Protein did last year, outside of expanding the menu of its signature David Protein Bar, was dive into the world of raw meat. The functional brand indeed launched raw wild-caught Pacific cod fillets, and it was priced on the high side at $55 for a box of four, 6oz fillets. The highlight of the product is that the macros are solid at 23g of protein, just a gram of fat, no carbohydrates, and 100 calories.

David Protein has surprised once again, and come out with what it is referring to as Cod 2, another cod product. The difference with this one is that it’s cooked, wild-caught cod from the North Atlantic, and it comes in a more elegant gold-colored can. The food is made with just two ingredients, Atlantic cod and salt, and the macros are as good as you’d expect at 18g of protein in a 3.1oz can, no carbohydrates or fat, and just 70 calories.

The price of David’s Cod 2, or more descriptively, cooked, canned, and wild-caught Atlantic cod, is $39 for a box of four cans, and just like the original, you can buy it straight from the brand’s online store at davidprotein.com. It is once again a definite surprise, and one that feel, loosely, links back to just how good the nutrition of the David Protein Bar is, in that it takes straight meat to get a slightly better protein-to-calorie ratio.
