Protein brand ProPud teams up with Pepsi for a low-sugar high-protein beverage

From Stack3d
Propud X Pepsi Max Collaboration Sweden

The Swedish market has always been an incredibly interesting, intriguing, and innovative corner of the world, especially in the categories of protein bars, protein snacks, and functional beverages. ProPud from NJIE is one of the homegrown standouts in the country, which has grown a delicious selection of products from its original ProPud Protein Pudding. The brand also has the ready-to-drink ProPud Milkshake, which, this week, is involved in a rather notable collaboration.

ProPud has got together with the mainstream soda giant Pepsi in Sweden for a special edition recipe partnership, where the two are promoting a healthy way to combine the power of two of its more popular items. Together, ProPud and Pepsi have shared the Protein Soda Shake, made from a can of Pepsi Max and a bottle of the Vanilla Ice Cream ProPud Milkshake. The order of events is you fill a cup halfway with Pepsi Max, then take it to three-quarters with the ProPud Milkshake, add some ice, then stir.

After all of that, you’ll have what is essentially a dirty soda, but with less sugar and more protein. While it’ll greatly depend on how big your glass is as to the macros, a standard 8oz, following the steps above, will get you 3.6g of quality protein, under 3g of sugar, and a genuine, delicious combination taste. We can only hope this eventually leads to an actual finished product collaboration between ProPud and Pepsi, although for now, the three-point recipe is all we’ve got.
