Calo creates caramel-covered popcorn pumped up to 11g of protein per pot

Calo is one of the biggest names in health-focused meal delivery in the Middle East, using technology, personalized nutrition, and chef-crafted meals to help people stay on track with goals like weight loss, muscle gain, and general wellness. The company has steadily expanded beyond prepared meals over the years, and it clearly has an eye on functional foods, as its latest innovation is not only right in that realm but impressively creative and deliciously photographed.

Protein Popcorn is the newly released product from Calo, a familiar movie-night snack that has been given a nutrition-minded twist with added whey protein. The debut flavor is Caramel, combining sweet caramel drizzle and crunchy popcorn for a treat-like experience while still packing 11g of protein per pot. Alongside the muscle-building macronutrient is 29g of carbohydrates, most of that sugar at 19g, 4g of fat, and a rather reasonable calorie count of 199.

We say reasonable calories as Calo’s Protein Popcorn looks absolutely delicious, especially with the authentic caramel covering every piece. You can purchase it in single-serving pots of 50g, and while the nutrition balance isn’t as good as a shake or bar, it’s an equally tasty alternative to regular coated dessert popcorn.
