It was only just recently that the protein chip company Wilde, known for its crispy and crunchy snack made with actual chicken breast and egg, has expanded into another format with Wilde Protein Crackers. The product is once again made with a chicken breast base for extra protein as well as chicken bone broth and cheddar cheese, for a respectable total of 12g of protein per serving, a light 8g of carbohydrates, and 140 calories.
The latest Wilde innovation has already managed to find its way into the membership retailer Costco, in an absolutely giant 9oz bag that’s more than double the size. It is essentially a nine-serving resealable pouch that comes in the Smoked Gouda flavor, not Cheddar Cheese, Buffalo Cheddar, or Hot Honey. You can eat it some then put it back in the pantry, but if you do decide to go until it’s gone, you’d be looking at 108g of protein, 72g of carbohydrates with 9g of that sugar, 56g of fat, and a total of 1,260 calories.
The price on the oversized bag of Wilde Protein Crackers in that lone Smoked Gouda flavor appears to be about $11. That makes it much better value than the regular pack of four servings at Target for $7.99, although the trade-off is that Costco has just the one flavor, not the complete collection of four.
